I find I avoid light color pants once it’s cold out. Like they’re only reserved for spring and summer. Maybe it’s the old no white after Labor Day rule that was somehow ingrained in me. An arbitrary rule that doesn’t apply anymore.
There’s still something about wearing light pants in the winter that feels wrong. Like I’ll get weird looks from strangers for going out in a pair of light khaki pants. It’s totally illogical yet I still go straight for my jeans, navy, or black pants on cold days.
Do any of you find yourself doing the same thing?
To break out of this weird habit, I’ve been coming up with winter outfits that include these wide leg khakis and my other pants in light colors. Forcing myself not to wear the same thing (jeans) everyday.
I really liked this combination once I had it on. It’s comfortable, simple, and chic. I also love how the color palette looks. Simple with just navy, black, and tan.
