Today let’s talk about the second way to wear a short sleeve oxford as part of this weeks series “3 ways to wear a short sleeve oxford”!
Yesterday I shared the first outfit idea: dark wash jeans and menswear inspired shoes. A look suitable for a casual office or a cool spring day outside.
Today is a summer look you can create with your short sleeve oxfords. It’s extremely simple and so easy to wear too!
I’d like to note that when thinking of these combinations I stuck to wardrobe basics that I naturally gravitated to pairing this top with. The white short sleeve oxford is a closet staple and basic for me so it seemed important to keep the rest of the outfit based on closet staples. You can then mix up the outfit with your accessories.
Outfit 2: Jean Shorts and Summer Sandals
I feel so ready for summer in this outfit. Are you looking for something easy, comfortable and chic to wear for any summer day? This is what I’ll be throwing on.
The white paired with high waisted denim shorts has such a classic appearance. I recently upgraded my old summer shorts (they were at least five years old and didn’t fit well) to these Madewell high waisted ones.
Buying these shorts was also such a process. Order down one size in these as they run very big. I even could have gone down two but didn’t want tight jean shorts. Jean shorts are meant to be easy, no fuss, no thought. A tight pair doesn’t achieve that. So, if they’re slightly too loose so be it. I think they look and feel great and that’s what matters.
Let’s also end this convo on a styling note about this top today. I’ve ordered Tradlands tops in the past which seemed to run big but that doesn’t appear to be the case with this spring line. I ordered an XS in this top and it fits perfectly in the shoulders while still being baggy but not overwhelming. The back is also longer than the front which you can see below and the side slits allow for easy front tucking.
