It’s been raining in New York City the past couple days. Before that though we had a string of warm weather that made it actually feel like winter was over.
Now it’s back in the 40’s and my wool coat was taken out of winter storage. With the weather in such flux, I’ve been able to develop an everyday outfit that works for most weather. A go-to outfit formula that I have in my back pocket for days I didn’t plan what to wear or need to get ready in a rush.
So, today let’s talk spring uniforms.
Do you have a spring uniform? I usually keep a seasonal go-to outfit formula. It makes getting ready quickly on work days so much easier.
I try to plan my outfits in advance but sometimes that doesn’t work. Either I end up not liking the outfit I planned or as life happens, I didn’t end up planning my outfits that week.
So, what is my spring uniform or spring go-to outfit formula?
It’s a pair of denim (right now I default to wide leg jeans), a crew neck shirt or t-shirt, and a pullover sweater. Depending on if it’s raining or not, I’ll wear for shoes oxfords, flats, or converse. As the weather warms up I’ll add sandals into the mix.
Analyzing why it’s my go-to outfit I’ve gathered that it’s because it’s comfortable, feels chic, and is good for warmer or cooler weather. I can add another layer if it’s cold or wear only the sweater on my walk to work.
