I’m very much a flats person. On most days, when I grab my shoes, I prioritize and naturally choose comfort. But, instead of wearing flats all the time, I wanted to branch out more into wedges and block heels.
That’s when I stumbled upon the Everlane day heel. I knew they were a fairly popular shoe and really cute for a dressier block heel. Before I decided to purchase, I went looking for outfit inspiration to see if they might fit in with my wardrobe and it seemed like they would!
I didn’t want to purchase a pair right away. I kept them on my wish list and contemplated the purchase for awhile. Then, over the holidays, Everlane had one of their huge “Choose What You Pay” sales and that’s when I made the decision to buy these beautiful coral ones.
To be honest, I love the color of these but was super unsure how I’d even wear them. I always buy the same color clothing so I told myself to go ahead and get the color I like best. Plus, coral looks so great with navy and whites which is what most of my closet is made up of anyways.
I’ve been wearing them now for a few months and decided to put together an Everlane day heel review with my experience so far.

I normally wear either a 7 or a 7 1/2 in shoes. I own the Everlane day glove in a 7 and they fit perfectly so I went with a size 7 in the day heel.
They’re pretty snug on my foot but also don’t slide off at all which is a plus. I probably could have sized up to the 7 1/2 but the 7 fits well enough to not return. My advice: if you’re in between sizes, go with the larger size.
Comfort was my biggest concern. The first time I wore them after a few hours the back started to hurt my foot. Now, I don’t know if this is because my size is slightly too small or just wear from breaking in.
Besides the back, these are so easy to walk in and comfortable everywhere else. I’m pretty bad at walking in heels and these don’t feel that much different than a pair of flats.
Since I bought the coral, I thought they wouldn’t be as versatile as a neutral or dark color. I was wrong. These have been so easy to wear with any color. Blue, white, green, pink, I love how they add an extra pop to any color. I especially love these with monochrome outfits.
Choosing a color note: Don’t shy away from the fun colors. These shoes add such a pretty addition of color to any simple outfit.
The day heel is normally $145 however, since I bought these on sale, they were only $85. After wearing them and styling them for a few months, I would pay full price for another pair.
To summarize all the info above:
- If you’re in between sizes, size up.
- They take a few wears to break in. The back part will probably hurt your heel the first few wears.
- They don’t feel like you’re walking in heels.
- If you like adding a pop of color with shoes, these are a great way to do that!
Overall, these are the most comfortable at first but they are so easy to wear and style. I’m really happy I chose these as short block heel to dress my outfits up a tad.
Have you tried the Everlane day heel? What are your thoughts?
