Today I’m very happy to share with you all my summer capsule wardrobe! I’ve been wearing it since June 1st so you’ve already had a sneak peak of some of the items if you follow me on Instagram.
I shared my spring capsule wardrobe sometime in March. I learned a lot while wearing my spring wardrobe which helped me put together my summer capsule. The biggest lesson I learned was in planning. I did not give myself enough time to plan my spring wardrobe. So, I decided to start in April with planning my summer wardrobe. When it comes to ethical brands, sometimes it takes a lot longer for items to arrive since you either have to wait for them to be made by hand, made at order, and then shipped from their location. It’s not a process that only takes a couple days.
I’m really happy with how my capsule turned out. I spent less than $500 refreshing some shorts, tops, and shoes. Which, are all items I’ll be able to wear next summer as well and the tops will be worn through fall and winter. Plus, the shorts are replacements for some pairs that were starting to fall apart and it was time to replace.
Some rules for my capsule:
- Capsule will be worn through August 31st
- I’m able to buy one item a month
- Since I do blog about fashion and ethical brands, you will probably see some additions throughout the summer which are gifted or through collaborations. I can go into more detail if you have questions!
Alright, here it is, my summer capsule wardrobe!
