I’ve been on the lookout for the perfect pair of simple yet classic denim for awhile.
It’s so hard to find the perfect pair. I’ve tried a few in the past year and so far have only found two that I really like.
Because jeans are a core wardrobe essential for me, I like to have a couple pairs that I absolutely love wearing. I wear jeans probably four days a week making it a part of my closet I focus on the most.
So, today’s post is about a pair of jeans from a new denim brand I recently discovered that make their jeans ethically and are family owned.
The way I styled them here is a simple way I plan on wearing denim this summer. Paired with a black tank feels so effortless yet chic. Add a button up on top for work or a pair of wedges for casual yet dressed up look, this combo is perfect for summer.
Fit and Fabric
As for fit, Mott & Bow is great because they let you try on two sizes when you order them. They also make it so easy to send back the pair that doesn’t fit.
I went with my true size which were snug at first but have stretched out to be a really comfortable fit. I was looking for a tighter fit and the size up was just slightly to baggy.
The blue denim is a thick, true denim (for lack of a better term). They don’t have much stretch but because of that, do hold their shape really well.
As for the black denim, they are very stretchy and oh so comfortable. They aren’t too tight or too loose and I wore the same size as I did in the blue denim. I had been looking for a pair of black jeans to replace a pair that wore out and had just donated. I saw these on their website and had to try them and they’re exactly what I had in mind. Perfect for wearing out at night or to the office.
The rise is high on both and sits just at my belly button. They also aren’t cropped which I’ve been trying to find a non-cropped pair with no luck. These jeans are just all around classic denim!
