The weather is finally starting to cool down here in NYC. It’s that time of year though where I really have no idea what to wear on work days. Is it too hot for jeans or too cold for short sleeves? It’s definitely bring a sweater in my purse every day kind of weather.
I’m trying not to rush my mindset into ahead into fall (even though it’s really hard). I want to squeeze more time out of some summer stylings. A good compromise? Add in some fall favorites I can’t wait to wear.
For this outfit, my gingham skirt with white linen top has a very late summer aesthetic to it. Although, I am debating if I can get away with wearing this skirt into fall. Anyways, I purchased these Everlane loafers for fall to replace a pair I bought 10 years ago and don’t want to use them as an everyday shoe anymore. I want to save them to wear here and there so they last even longer. Loafers are definitely a fall wardrobe staple for me. I love how they add a masculine touch.
So, fall leather loafers with a summer print and white linen top. A way to squeeze a few last warm weather wears of your summer clothes mixed with things you’re excited to wear in cool weather.
