Happy Monday! I hope you all had a nice weekend. Mine was spent in the city hopping around Brooklyn with a friend in town. I also took the weekend off from working on my blog and spent the down time thinking and revisiting why I started this blog in the first place and content I want to talk about this spring.
As I was thinking this over, I realized a few things. I realized I’ve gotten away from my reason I started my blog in the first place. I’ve been focusing more on posting daily outfits to Instagram than talking about my wardrobe.
I started Exploring Simple with the goal to stop shopping so much and take the time to build a simple closet with only clothes I love wearing. I want to focus more on posting what I discover, learn, and things you all might find helpful.
So, that’s why I’ve decided to wear a spring capsule wardrobe! I’ll be sharing my full capsule on Wednesday so make sure to check back then.
I think this will be a good way for me to start sharing simple outfit ideas on here. With these I’ll be able to include thoughtful discussions on minimalist outfits.
I also want to start sharing more of my experience in buying new clothing, getting rid of clothes. More of my experience in simplifying, growing my closet, avoiding impulse shopping, and shopping sales thoughtfully.
Now that I’m feeling refreshed, there will be a new post every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday and some extra posts in between. If you want to stay up to date, you can subscribe to my newsletter that sends an email every time there’s a new post.
And now for an outfit!
Simple Weekend Wear
What I Wore: White wide leg pants, a navy t-shirt, and Lotta from Stockholm clogs
Activity: Brewery hopping in Brooklyn
Style Thoughts: This outfit was super comfy. These Everlane pants have a great stretch to them and so does the t-shirt. I also felt really stylish in this outfit with the added clogs. They were a nice addition to the otherwise very simple look. I also added a denim jacket since it was still a bit too cold for just the t-shirt.
That sums it up for today’s update and what I wore this weekend. I’m excited to share my capsule wardrobe on Wednesday. I’d also love to hear from you all. Do you wear a capsule wardrobe? Let me know in the comments below!
