This weekend it finally felt like spring in New York. Saturday weather was an absolutely beautiful 60 degrees. It’s one of those days though where you want to break out your warm weather dresses but aren’t sure if you need a jacket, a light sweater, a heavy sweater, or nothing at all.
I decided to wear a beach-y summer dress after a whole winter of pants. It got me thinking though, what are some good ways to style a summer dress for early spring? A time when one day it could be 60s and the next it’s back in the 30s.
Once my mindset changes to spring outfits it’s hard to switch back! So, after some outfit planning, here is what to wear on a cold spring day when you want to wear a dress.
A cardigan for cool temps in the morning and warm in the afternoon.
Colder temps all day require a thicker sweater. Not quite cold but the weather never really warms up kind of day. Add a belt with loose dresses for a more fitted look.
