You may or may not have seen this lovely jumpsuit by now. I posted it to my Instagram last week but it’s also been a pretty popular item with Tradlands fans who have also been posting their various stylings.
I have conflicting feelings about following trends. On one hand, I hate to be another wearer in a sea of others. But on the other, if I genuinely really like something, should I avoid it out of a desire for uniqueness?
Should we avoid wearing things just because a lot of other people are. Which, does happen a lot especially in the ethical fashion space. I thought about this and my conclusion is that no, we should neither buy something because it’s popular nor not buy something because it is.
Buy it and wear it if it’s something you love and want to wear all the time.
Anyways, that’s a few thoughts on trends for you!
Now let’s talk about this new Tradlands jumpsuit.
Review: Tradlands Jumpsuit
When I first put on this Tradlands jumpsuit sans belt, I started to feel nervous about fit. It felt too baggy and the sizing seemed way too large.
But then I added the belt and magic happened! It fits perfectly with a belt. I’ve styled it with a leather belt and the cloth one that come with it. I haven’t decided just yet which one I prefer. I plan on mixing it up with both though.
As for sizing, Tradlands tends to run a tad large so I always order a size XS. This fits perfectly with room still. The small would have been way too much material for my lack of hips and butt. I also like how comfortably loose fitting the cut is. I could easily wear this all day.
The material is extremely soft and light. It’s great for hot summer office days and really any of the seasons. I love that it’s completely versatile and not season specific. I do think this orange will be perfect for fall with a pair of leather boots under and a chunky sweater. There are so many ways to style!
Fresh Wardrobe Color
This is the first time I’ve owned anything this color.
I’ve seen it all over other women and have always been very drawn to this burnt orange color. But it always felt so not me. I always buy blues and whites. Not oranges. So when choosing which one to get, this clay color was my favorite.
So, I went with it and it does not disappoint. It feels fresh and fun to have a new color to wear and style.
