When it comes to daily outfits, I usually stick to two outfit formulas. Either pants or jeans with a simple top and feminine, yet effortless, dresses. I’m pretty picky when it comes to buying dresses. I like to make sure they’re something I’d wear regularly while also being comfortable and work appropriate. A lot of time I find dresses to be too short so I usually stick to shopping for only knee length and below styles.
I recently discovered the brand Voloshin who makes the two beautiful dresses I’m wearing here. All their dresses are made ethically by artisans in India. You can read more about how their clothes are made here. I love how transparent the website is about the production process. They also only use natural fibers and clothing designs with a focus on classic staples to wear for a very long time.
I’m so happy I discovered this brand and excited to share them with you all! Their designs are so beautiful and I know when I purchase something from Voloshin, my money is going to a company I want to support.
The first of the two dresses I’m wearing is this beautiful tan, floral prairie style dress from Voloshin’s summer line. I’ve been looking for a prairie style dress I could wear this summer and one that could also be styled into fall. This pattern is perfect for summer and fits exactly what I had in mind. It’s perfect for work and cooler summer days. It’s casual enough to wear effortlessly around the city while also easily dressed up for a fancy dinner out or a dressier evening event. For now, I’m styling it with my leather sandals as well as my gold Jack Rogers. For fall, I can’t wait to add leather boots and a blazer to this dress.
As for sizing, it run slightly large but easily fitted with the tie the dress comes with or an added belt. So my advice would be to go with your usual size. It also comes with a slip underneath!
How beautiful is the printing on this dress? Outside from a prairie style dress, I also have been looking for a beautiful long dress that is more on the casual side. This dress is exactly what I had in mind. It’s perfect for a cool summer day to wear to work and like the other dress, it will so easily be styled for fall with leather boots, a turtleneck underneath, or a leather jacket. As for summer styling, I’m staying simple with gold or leather sandals.
