This time of year is so difficult to dress for. We’ve had a couple warm days – a taste of spring. But then you wake up and it’s almost freezing again.
Once I’ve gotten a glimpse of warmer weather, my mind makes the switch to warm weather outfits. It’s so difficult for me to now think of cold weather outfits to wear to work.
So, how do you dress for this transitional time of year? You’re ready for light colors, lighter fabrics, and shorter hems but the weather just isn’t quite there yet.
My favorite way to dress for spring now is to wear sweaters and jeans.
This outfit is one of my favorites! Let’s discuss why and how you can style it.
Why is it my favorite? It’s comfortable and the sweater allows you to layer it in different ways . Layers are a must this time of year. And I love a silk scarf for style and a little warmth added on.
As for how you can style it you can layer a button down under for more warmth and texture like I did here. Or you can go with a blouse or t-shirt. As for shoes, opt for flats instead of boots. An even more spring ready option are a cute pair of clogs sans socks or a pair of block heels.
Lastly, add some spring accessories to your sweaters and jeans like a straw bag or silk scarf and you have a spring ready outfit that’s warm enough to wear during these last winter feeling days.
