Wardrobe Staple: A Striped Shirt

As I was packing for my trip, I realized a few things about my wardrobe. That most of my tops are white and that when I’m not sure what to wear, I tend to choose a striped shirt.

I really do enjoy going through my closet. Although, I think for a lot of us, it’s more a stressful act than an enjoyable one. Which, is probably due to the feeling of never quite having the perfectly curated wardrobe.

I try to find productivity and progress when I go through my closet to reanalyze my clothing. To comb through and assess what I wear and what I don’t.

Through this I get a good sense of what I like to wear. So that when I do want to buy something new, I’m not going to buy something untypical for myself.

Today’s outfit is one featuring one of the styles of shirts I find to be an undeniable closet staple. I really think you can’t go wrong with a striped shirt. Long sleeve or short sleeve. It’s always timeless and something you know will make you look chic and feel put together. Something you won’t have second thoughts about when you comb through your closet.

One always looks timeless with a pair of denim and dressed up with a skirt.

I styled a long sleeve striped top today with a vintage inspired linen skirt. This outfit is comfortable and easy. An example of ways to wear one that feel fresh and simple. More reason to have a simple stripe shirt as a weekly go-to.
