Hello from Siem Reap, Cambodia! I can’t believe I’ve already been on my honeymoon now for about one week. It feels long and short at the same time. We arrived to Hong Kong late last Tuesday and were there through Friday. Then, on Saturday, we flew to Siem Reap and will be here until Wednesday morning. Which, from here, we will fly to Krabi, Thailand for the final part of our adventure.
I tried to pack as light as possible for this trip. Having never been to any of these places before, I wasn’t quite sure what the weather would be like this time of year. I did some research and packed to the best of my ability.
Mid-trip Packing Review
I shared with you all my packing list before my trip. As far as how my packing has faired, it rained the entire time in Hong Kong and was pretty chilly every day. I packed for mostly 80 degree plus weather so ended up wearing my denim jacket paired with the only two pairs of pants I brought.
Siem Reap has been extremely hot which I was prepared for. What I was not prepared for was how hot it would actually feel even in a tank top and shorts.
The hardest part about dressing here is dressing appropriately for the temples. We were told that for women, shoulders and knees should be covered. Not really the best for 100 degrees. So, my outfit from Sunday was naturally quite warm but the skirt I wore worked out pretty well. As good as it probably could be. At least now I’m getting a better hang of how to dress for temple-ing after my first go.
Now, let’s see how those outfits came together during my week in Hong Kong and Siem Reap!
