Last Saturday I travelled to D.C. to attend my bridal shower. I had a beautiful time with all my family and friends in one room. I couldn’t have asked for a better time. The most challenging part however about having my bridal shower, besides curating a gift registry, was choosing winter bridal shower outfit as the bride.
I swear I started searching for a dress a few months before the event. Thinking I would beat my habitual procrastination for once. Well, I was wrong. I didn’t end up settling on a dress until right before the event. Even though I tried to start shopping early, every dress I ran across was too summery, too casual, or too fancy.
I was really hoping to find a dress that was ethically made. Unfortunately, finding a white one was so difficult on it’s own that I wasn’t able to. So, with a short timeline, I opened up my search to white designer dresses I would be able to wear again. It was then with great luck at Bloomingdales that I found this stunning Ted Baker dress.
It’s everything I was looking for: something I could wear again, lace detailing, feminine, and all white. It’s the perfect winter bridal shower dress that could be taken into other season as well.
