I recently travelled up to Boston to attend one of my good friend’s bridal showers. The location was at a chic restaurant just outside the city. What I realized though while packing for this trip is that I had no idea what to wear to a fall bridal shower.
So, the idea behind writing this post is to help you all who might also be struggling with the same question. It’s not an event that most of us keep outfits laying around for. It’s definitely doable to find an outfit out of dresses you already own and style them appropriately for fall. Today I’m showing an option that I wore to help you figure out what to wear to a fall bridal shower.
What I Wore to a Fall Bridal Shower
I decided to go with a combination of clothing already in my closet. I opted for this burgundy bell sleeve, 70s inspired dress as it was the most fall, and fun dress I have. It’s feminine and casual at the same time. I paired it with black opaque tights and my black Everlane day glove flats for a simple look that’s fall appropriate. Black tights with black flats is also a personal favorite look. It feels so effortlessly 60s and 70s.
Other Fall Bridal Shower Combinations
All you really need for a fall bridal shower outfit is a dress in darker colors as opposed to summer brights and pastels. Once you have the dress picked out, all you need to do is add fall appropriate accessories. Such as the ones I added here: black tights and black flats.
You can also style a fall dress in a few different ways from how I did here. If you don’t want to go for a tights with flats option you could also wear a fall dress with:
- No tights and riding boots
- Black tights and black ankle boots
- Black tights and black riding boots
- Brown ballet flats
Most of these tips are geared more towards a more casual bridal shower. However, you could easily dress up a simple fall dress with simple heels.
